“Certified translation” is a UK term and applies when you need a translation for use in the UK. If your document is going to a UK authority, a certified translation is required. If it is going to a Spanish authority, you will need a sworn translation instead.
Usually not. A clear scan or high‑quality photo is normally enough for us to produce a sworn translation. Some authorities may ask to see the original when you submit the sworn translation, but the translator does not usually need to work from the original physical document.
You do not need an apostille for the sworn translation itself. A sworn Spanish translation is accepted on its own and does not require any extra certification. However, the original document may need an apostille before it can be used in Spain.
